Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized the Russian player secured his first championship for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
Victory also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six title deciders, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the elite level was over.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and compete positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first tour title, gained dominance to create a decider.
Moutet saved four initial opportunities in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
