Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that the Egyptian forward apologised to the group of players following the controversy from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a European match following voicing frustrations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
The head coach has previously declined to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.
Looking Ahead
Jones insisted that the dressing room atmosphere remained positive. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” he continued.
Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I understand there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
On-Field Response
Their results have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. He feels the outburst were never meant to destabilise the squad.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, performing and securing victories.”
