It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

Whether this latest epic knock topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

"The possibility to play and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was out Australia required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the belief to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a major tournament.

So great is her will, she later said she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have pushed back plans to retire, this World Cup is expected to be her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as captain.

Success in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
